George and Nannette Gwaltney Owners We opened Vacations By Design in 2004, as a home-based cruise only travel agency.  Thanks to all of our many friends/clients, Vacations By Design has become a multifaceted travel agency offering Cruise Vacations, Tour Packages, Disney Adventures, Honeymoon Memories, and All Inclusive Resorts. We are a member of CLIA The Cruise Line International Association.

Nannette, MCC I have been in the travel business for 12 years.  After graduation from travel school, I worked in several travel offices as an inside sales agent or an independent contractor.  I have continued my education in the field of travel attaining the designation of 'Master Cruise Counsellor'. I hold specialist designation with most of the cruise lines. My hobbies are travelling, playing bridge and dancing.

George. BSN, MHA I am a retired Army Officer after 29 years service. I currently work part time as a Registered Nurse in Diabetes Research.  I spend the rest of my time playing golf, enjoying my Masonic Work and helping Nannette with our business. I manage the web site and assist in escorting our many friends on cruises.  Nannette and I enjoy Ballroom and Country Western dancing.

Jahnnette Brandt (Nannette's Daughter) A Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education, a Master's Degree in Educational Leadership, and 18 years in the field of Education, all came to an end when I decided to join the family owned travel agency.  My closest friends knew it would be a perfect job for me because of my love for travel.  No one was a bit surprised, when, within a few months, I became a graduate of the "Disney College of Knowledge" and my friends began to call me the 'Queen of Disney'.  The last few months I have been booking honeymoons, school trips, escorted bus tours and cruises.  As a 'home mom'  things have been quite busy with no indication that the future will be any different.

Jaron Brandt Our Grandson, Jaron is the next generation tour director.  He has already co-hosted a motorcoach trip for the Christmas Light Tour and won the hearts of all the travellers.

Jonathan Brandt Our 16 year old grandson, Jonathan is a seasoned traveler having cruised Alaska, the Eastern Caribbean and the Panama Canal.  He earned his sea legs by co-hosting the Panama Canal cruise.  Our cruisers look forward to future cruises with Jonathan.
